The Tekis is a prestigious digital award that is presented to recognize, honor and celebrate individuals, brands and organizations that practice digital excellence and use online technology responsibly.

The awards honor the impact and influence of content creators and brands that align with global digital transformation, excellence and best practices.

To create a pipeline of many participants and build capacity, Teki has the Raising Star Award that recognize young and upcoming digital creators and include them in the annual competition.

Teki has a robust awarding process that include nomination, nominee selection by a panel of judges and the top five are then subjected to a public vote to determine the winner.

The nominee with the highest number of votes is announced as the winner at the award ceremony.

Teki Awards 2025

The Teki Awards 2025 will be held on 14th November at the Radisson Blu Upper Hill Nairobi, 6:00PM – 9:00PM.

The Awards have been themed “ Celebrating Champions of Digital Influence” and will recognize and award personalities and brands that have demonstrated excellent use of digital media inline with global best practices.

Teki has partnered with learning institutions to discover and award upcoming creators through the rising star category.

The red carpet award ceremony is themed “Black tie”

Award Eligibility & Guidelines

  • Teki Awards competition recognizes brands, organizations and individuals within or doing business in the Kenyan territory
  • Teki Awards competition is open to all brands, corporations and individuals that have digital presence.
  • Teki Awards nomination is based on activities executed one year before the launch date of nominations process.
  • Nomination can be done by anyone or by self.
  • There is no limit to the number of categories one account can nominate
  • Ineligible entries will be disqualified.
  • Presentation of Award style and channel is at the discretion of Teki team
  • All nominated accounts, websites or apps must be live/active and accessible online.
  • The Judging Committee have the final word on the nominee shortlist
  • The Award winners are determined by a public vote where the nominee with highest number of votes is automatically declared winner.
